"A Day Of Service"? “Are We Getting That Complacent?”

Different people remember 9/11 in different ways.

Last night I was remembering what it felt like watching the twin towers of the WTC collapse on TV and I became very angry. Angry ar President Obama wanting to and CHANGING this historic day of morning into a "Day of Service" Service to what? Service to Who? Are we already kneeling to him and treating him as our King?

We can not allow this to happen. We must never forget, but he is already putting that thought into our heads, FORGET what happened on 9-11 and SERVE!

There is no question that the families of the 3,000 people who died are still mourning them because it was a senseless act.

The financial damage in NYC runs into the billions of dollars. The attack prompted more expenditures all across the country into even more billions of dollars for security, anti-terrorism measures and huge military spending, specially with the invasion of Iraq.

Many Americans forget easily. Their busy lives and personal problems drown major events. After months and years of overanalyzing, listening to discredited fearmongers, and the discovery that the war rules have changed, this event has become one of many items in the History of the USA.

I’m not sure we ever really learned the lessons of 9/11. Instead of the country rallying as it did in the aftermath of Pearl Harbor, we began a civil war, where the executive branch was at odds with the State Department, the Military was at odds with the intelligence community, and a wave of hatred blew across the country like a tornado through Kansas. Muslims were not the target of the hatred to our credit, but every conceivable group found itself pitted against its mirror political image, and any civil discourse became impossible.

I think the reason, one reason, is that the terrorists fought us with small strategy, as opposed the the big power of the ex-USSR. We are vulnerable to what is small, both politically, and biologically–a simple common cold can lay us up for a week.

We did not recognize the basic post WWII alliance between the US and Europe was over and had been for some time. We did not understand that our institutions, such as the courts, and the government were caught completely unprepared. The growth of Iran in nearly ten years has shown us the inherent sloth of big government, while the terrorists adapt quickly.

Essentially, we had become a country locked into one way of thinking, and even thought the need for change was evident, change to what?

The reduction came to a matter of fighting or giving up, and we simply did not have the accidental training of the WWII generation that so easily led them into combat mode.

Right now foreign and domestic policy is weighted towards the autocratic, the abusers of human rights, the murderers of the world. Although the US government doesn’t out and out support the Taliban, they do support those who provide financial backing for the terrorists.

Both political parties have shown a lack of will in even trying to formulate a different path. Bin Laden did not just strike the World Trade Center, he struck at the fundamental weakness of the western worldview. Bin Laden expected chaos to follow, and it did. Even if he had the technology to do the same thing, he wouldn’t have dared provoke my father’s generation the way he has provoked the Baby Boomers.

The US is not without hope, but that hope does not lie with the government or our established institutions. I believe the hope sits in certain science labs and in the offices of some venture capitalists. That is, the first step is to change our energetic infrastructure.

The attempts to rework the political atmosphere of the Middle East, although well intentioned, hasn’t really worked to the point of effectiveness.

Democrats’ real position when it comes to illegal aliens and healthcare. Not A Lie.

Wilson disrespected both the President and the House. He quickly apologized to the President,
Obama and Pelosi's policies are dividing our nation. Instead of leading, they are dividing....Wilson just spoke what allot of us are already thinkingWe the REAL AMERICAN CITIZENS want an apology from nancy pelosi for calling us un-American!! AND I want that apology NOW!!! She should also apologies to the CIA for calling them liars! obama should apologies to every American citizen for saying we were lying about what is in HR3200 when he hasn't even read it. I want apologies NOW from 2 of the biggest liars in our government.
Let's see here--a congressman voiced his opinion during a presidential speech and two different Acorn offices encouraged a couple to defraud both a financial institution and the government, to set up a brothel in a home, to "sponsor" underage illegal children as prostitutes, and to claim those same children as dependents for the express reason to CHEAT on their tax return. What story is getting the longest run in the press?

The Glenn Beck Boycott's

The organized boycott of Glenn Beck and his program is proving the truth of two public relations fundamentals; "just about any publicity is good publicity" and "I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right." It seems the boycotters, who are giving Beck loads of free publicity, carefully spelling his name correctly while also conveniently including his network and the times his controversial show airs, have helped Beck.

I personally am going to patronize those who still advertise on Beck and boycot those who have backed out.

HOLD THAT BEER!

As regular readers of this blog know, I have been banging on from the start of Obama’s rise to power about the astonishing discrepancy between how he was presented by the media on the issue of race and what he actually had said and done. His whole background from the earliest days onwards was steeped in anti-white grievance politics of the most bitter and corrosive kind. This was all ignored. His two-decade membership of an anti-white church was ignored, his early anti-white mentors such as Frank Marshall Davis were ignored, his participation on the Nation of Islam ‘Million Man march’ and his association with Nation of Islam cadres were ignored.

Now, thanks to Professor Henry Gates, we can see how Obama’s dysfunctional attitude to race plays out in real time. Gates’s arrest was an honest and understandable mistake by the Cambridge police who were investigating what appeared to be a break-in. It clearly had nothing to do with Gates being black – not least because other officers backing up the arresting officer were non-white. Gates’s protests were preposterous, and vividly demonstrated the pathological resentment and injustice – not to mention the strutting arrogance and narcissism -- of anti-racist ‘victim culture’.

For the President of the United States to get involved at all in such a local matter was off-limits. For him to do so without even bothering to discover the facts was disturbing. For him to damn the Cambridge police as ‘stupid’ whereas it was clearly Gates who was ‘stupid’(and worse), thereby demonstrating how the Presidential knee automatically jerks to the crudest of anti-white (and anti-police) tunes regardless of the facts, was deeply alarming.
The arrest of Henry Louis Gates was NOT a mistake. This is accepted procedure in the face of belligerence and hostility in response to a calmly stated request for identification, to verify the person truly is whom he claims to be.
I don't see how Sgt. Crowley gains anything by "having a beer" with these two racists!
The mistake lay with the president claiming that the police had acted "stupidly".

Over Heard At Gitmo

The terrorists currently enjoying US hospitality at Gitmo have been complaining non-stop since they were stopped from killing, mutilating, and beheading Americans globally. Today their complaints are being answered by the libcoms (liberal communists) at the ACLU and the Amnesty International weenies fresh from their support of the Shining Path terrorists in Peru.

"
We didn't know where we were or what was going to happen to us," said Adil al-Zamil, a former terrorist with a few American kills under his belt.
"We were very, very afraid." A black hood covered his face, chains secured his wrists and legs. He had a bad headache from two days without food and the medication that made him sleepy during the long flight. He was scared by barking guard dogs, and troops yelled at him. He was used to being the one yelling he recounted.

"When we took an American pig, uh, infidel, I mean a prisoner, I was the one who yelled at THEM, kicked them, and eventually beheaded them without a care in the world. Then one day, US troops fast-roped into my bunker and took me away before I could beat my wife one more time or teach my kids how to blow themselves and their enemies up! It's HORRIBLE!"

To quote Michelle Obama, "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country."
The meaning is simple and easy to understand. Looking at the positive reaction to the campaign, she is looking forward to be the first lady and this is what makes her REALLY PROUD of her country. She WAS NOT proud of her country in the past because she didn't know then that she would be the first lady.

What a load of tripe…

When I heard this comment, my stomach turned.
As a former American Soldier, and I have always been proud of my country. I have read a lot of the comments on this article, and I see 18 year old young Americans stating that they have not been proud of this country for
"a long time", my question you you is Why? Why aren't you or weren't you proud of this country? Well it's probably because of the massive political, religious, and general oppression that the American government holds you in. Its probably because you don't live in a decent home, with good food to eat, a police force protecting you day and night. It's probably because of the freedom of speech, the freedom of the press, and the right as a young person to have an opinion, and cast it out aloud in public.
**It is probably because these young people are too lazy to think for them selves, and their inability to look at the big picture. Yeah, our country has it's issues, so does every other country. But ours are generally much worse than theirs, I mean, We are in an unpopular war, under an president, who is new in office, and prior to that he hasn't had a legitimate job in his entire life. And maybe because we just started a fight with the people of the middle east for no good reason. Just because we were attacked on our home soil by terrorists from that part of the world doesn't mean we have the right to go and kick their asses.
I mean we should have turned the other cheek right? And yes, I realize that the man behind it is known to have been in Afghanistan, But I have been to Iraq, I have spoken to the Iraqi people and almost 100% of them are happy with what America has done. And so are all the other people all around the world who's ass's we saved.
LISTEN YOUNG PEOPLE, STOP BEING DROIDS OF YOUR PARENTS AND LIBERAL TEACHERS, LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE AND FORM YOUR OWN OPINION.

So Michelle, I think there's a whole lot more to be proud of being an American for.
How about every Memorial Day? Every Veteran’s Day? Every Independence Day? Every Medal of Honor ceremony? Have you ever attended a welcome home ceremony for the troops?
How about when President Reagan said Mr. Gorbachev, tear down that wall? Were you not proud of that?
How about our invasion of Normandy during WWII?
Were you
Not proud of the hundreds of thousands who died fighting for world peace? Think about it Mrs. Obama. Think Hard!

Hillary Clinton, Madam Secretary? Why?

Where oh where is the evidence that Hillary could be a great SOS? Yes, I understand the position that shes a tough ball busting bitch, who wont brook any dissent at State, but I don’t think that’s realistic or even relevant since the careerists at state undermine policy with clandestine leaks and other subterfuge.

Moreover, she is a political opportunist who contorts her position and undermines her nation for political gain and self-aggrandizement. Her husband similarly made the situation in the middle east worse, gave American nuclear secrets away and erected a devastating intelligence wall for campaign contributions, basically paid the North Koreans to develop nuclear weapons, and refused to apprehend or kill public enemy number one even when offered his head on a silver platter — all because he was far more concerned with looking out for priority number one — Bill Clinton.

Her attempt at reforming health care was an unmitigated disaster, for which she is roundly recognized as the cause, and she was handed the Democratic nomination on a silver platter, spilled it all over herself and dropped it right at Obama’s feet.

Other than the fact that she has shall I say "Great Chinese" connections . What are her qualifications?

So while I agree that she could be a great Secretary of state, somewhere in the same sense that pigs could fly out of my butt, or Barack Obama could lead as a conservative, I am wondering where the evidence is. Show me the money!
